Bruce yelled it. i didn't see him yell it until today but he did indeed yell. emphatically to boot. nobody really seemed like they were listening unfortunately. eddie kind of seemed like he was listening - although he had the advantage of waiting and watching until near the end before being involved. let's just say, it has to be better. it has to. i didn't . . . no, we didn't wait 4 years for it to be like this. i'm not going to say that we should have won. or even that we should have tied. they're a better team. and our "#5" ranking is ridiculous and inflated and totally wrong. however, very, very few players on our team even looked like they wanted to win. like they even wanted to try. and that, ultimately, is not okay. if we lose to a great team, that's fine. as long as we try. as long as landon cranks a ball that is tipped around the post by the best goalie in the world. as long as we dominate the game at every facet. as long as we're denied a victory by someone getting away with cheating. i need a reason why we didn't win. lack of effort shouldn't and can't be one of them. go forward. 2002 was great. but it's time to go forward.
